The matrix resurrections (2021)

On the grid map of cinema there are three effective avenues we can take to reach our destination: pulp, camp and avant garde. Everything else, while holding the potential for success, will likely result in a bumpy ride. The Matrix chose pulp, its sequels decidedly chose a different route in becoming a series of set pieces without a coherent narrative to tie them together. Now with the reboot, Resurrections, Wachowski has chosen camp, and all the better for it.
